Funny, soft, cake-like cookies.favourite geek decides to try his luck at baking today so we got betty crocker's chocolate chip cookie mix off the shelves after lunch.
i tossed and mixed the egg, softened butter and cookie mixture into a cookie dough form, while favourite geek just watch and stare.
and yes, you have to stir the whole mixture in the SAME direction throughout!
thats basic baking rule number 1, you silly!
and i think we added way too much butter, say about 250g of butter into the mixture.
our first 2 batches of cookie expanded and covered the whole metal tray.
instead of round solid cookies, we had soft, flat, cake-like and easily crumbled cookies.

really quite the horror.
urgh, i hate it when my baking becomes a flop. SULKS ):
the rest of the batches were saved by some added flour, thank god.
and hey, the cookies didn't turn out bad. :)))
well, they were still edible!
those stupid thoughts, those crazy emotions.
what a night.
