Meet us in orbit for a party.

i wouldnt say one year was exceptionally long or short.
but, one year of affection.
one year of pleasant surprises.
one year of laughters.
one year of goofing around.
one year of perfection.
one year of unassailable bond.
one year of wrestling.
one year of unexplainable comfort.
one year of food hunting.
one year of 'good morning' messages.
i can never get enough of one year, we can go longer than this :)

dinner at brewerkz on the 14 june.
there was pretty tough competition between brewerkz and tonkichi.
we were certain that if we decide on brewerkz, we're gonna miss the oh-so-tender-and-crispy-brown tonkatsu (pork cutlet).
and if we chose tonkichi, we are totally going to miss those fat steak fries with potato skin at brewerkz.
read TOUGH CHOICE.
i guess the temptation of the fries were unbearable and we found ourselves being seated in brewerkz. LOL.
this time we both tried their 2 piece fish and chips and goodness the portion was pretty damn huge for a reasonable person to consume.
dont be deceive by the words "2 piece" cause we really stuffed ourselves to the brim, right up to the throats!
i felt like i could puke if u mention fish and chips in front of me.
the fish was very fresh and the batter was perfectly fried to golden brown, but i guess after a while we got sick of it and it was taking a toll on our bellies. haha.
again, the chips were superb, we're both suckers for fries with a little potatoes skin on it fried to perfecto.
i freaking L O V E the chips, ahhhhhhhh :D
somebody da pao the chips for me please!

handmade cards by bay never fails to put a big smile on my face. :)
the last time round i receive one that was in a shape of a heart but it was a distorted heart.
lol, must be the mediocre cutting skills.
and the best thing was it had a very primary-school-kids border as decoration, i think it was sth like this ~.~.~.~.~.
*rolls on the floor and laugh like theres no tomorrow.

but i must commend his arts and craft this time cause i see major improvements in cutting skills, card design, card creativity for eg:
1) i got a perfect circle of little flowers on the cover page of the card. yay, no more distorted shapes!
2) there was even a storyline about how he crossed the river and left the 14 trees to hang his heart on this one ballish tree. the picture scene on the card was so heartwarming, just look at the tree man!
3) if u notice the river, the mini waves in the river is plain hilarious looking! some parts of it are thick and others are thin, not equal at all. he claims that the mini waves were introduced to furthur illustrates the blue strip was the river. awwww, tell me how to not love la!

its all good in the hood :D

ps. my ulcer hurts like fuck and it seems to be not subsiding at all.

The food hunters

yes u heard me, foodhunting is the exact term. :)
the bean and i have been venturing into neighbourhoods and ulu streets to discover some of the highly recommended and rated food by leslie on ieatishootipost.
so far we are pretty damn satisfied by our "findings". read hoe nam prawn noodles, lao zhong zhong wu xiang, tom ton, tonkichi.
and today we headed for ABC market behind Ikea.
you really might wanna try to find the hidden staircase between Ikea and BMW performance showrooms to get to the hdb blocks
you are going to want to thank me for that.
and ooooooh, all the white 3 series and 5 series that are nicely parked in a straight line, its the bomb manggggggg! *screams.

didnt have much problem finding ABC market. cause i have a walking GPS with me.
i'll let the pictures do the talking.

i swear we are damn addicted to prawn noodles, even the fried kind of hokkien prawns we never let it slipped out of our hands.
this time we gave Tiong Bahru Yi Sheng Hokkien Prawn Mee a shot.
i thought it was not bad, but maybe we ordered only the 3 bucks serving so there werent any prok slices or any "christmas present". HAHAH
the chilli was good though, i think i spotted like ikan billis inside. pretty unique taste.
knowing the hungry bean/ocassionally us, after we whacked the prawn mee, we still wanted to feed the lucky belly.

hello Bao Zai! :DDD
i always have this soft spot for char siew paus, they are totally irresistable.
so theres not a chance that im gonna miss this since it appeared on ieatishootipost.
though the paus were really tiny compared to the standard ones u get outside, the char siew fillings wouldnt disappoint you. (not if u have really high standards or fussy!)
it was sweet and i though it was pretty decent.
maybe they should make it a little bigger so i wont feel so cheated for paying 60 cents for that. lol.

okay, i feel my hoe nam prawn noodles crave coming.
AGAIN.
