Flyer, shark's fin, Gapzomg, i haven't been to blogger for the longest time ever!
but i just have to be here cause i been to awesome place today, had a scrumptious dinner and enjoyed zeeee best company :))))
thanks to bay's father's birthday, we finally got a chance to take our very own Singapore Flyer!
better still, an all-paid-for-trip, what more could i ask for right.
okay, fasten your seatbelts, here we gooooooo!

thats our big guy, mr singapore flyer.
the sky was alittle overcast but thank god it didnt rain on us.

our pleasant surprise! Popeye's at the basement of mr singapore flyer.
:))))))))))))
no more travelling all the freaking way to the east just for their chicken and cajun fries.

apparently they call this the "Yakult Rainforest" or sth to that extent.
O_OOOOOOO

the boarding and alighting platform, pretty cool design.

we board onto the capsule and my legs went a little wobbly and weak.
as our capsule slowly inch its way out of the plateforms, my heart was like thumping faster than usual. hahaha.
a mixture of excitement and fear for heights.

CBD skyline about halfway up.

i think thats the marina steamboat area.

the expressway plus floating stadium from the top.

good gosh, look at how much tall concrete buildings there are in the far distant.
must be all the HDBs.

we are nearing the highest point of mr singapore flyer.
which is like 1 6 5 metres from the ground!
i really don't wanna imgine myself falling down.
but bay kept saying later the thick wires snapping la, the bolts and screws loosening up la, this la that la.
*ROARS.

bird's eye view :D

part of the golf course near the sea.

the inside of the capsule looks like that.
just two short row of seats and ample space to walk around.
haha, in the background u can see father poon sitting who claims that his legs go all jelly like if he stands and look down.
in about approximately 30 mins, the poor guy officially parted with $180 ($30 x 6) so we can have this flying exprience of once in a life time (unless you have surplus cash to actually go take the flyer the 2nd or 3rd time).
well, this didnt mark the end of the celebration.
we headed to Thai Village Sharksfin restaurant at Kallang leisure centre.
after hearing so much positive comments from bay, i could hardly wait for the Shark's fin soup.
true enough, that was the first dish to the table and oh my god.
i could like literally see this WHOLE AND GENEROUS PIECE OF SHARKS FIN swimming in my bowl!
-insert scream here-
together with the parsley and bean sprouts, shiokkkkk! :D
there was this salt baked chicken and the brown sauce was oh so gooch.
and i love the fish maw prawns. very unique dish, i dont know if they fried it or what, but i sure never ate fish maw like that before. whack it mang!
oh oh the crab vermicelli was the bomb la! since when did vermicelli taste so bloody appetizing!
i can totally da pao and soot the vermicelli myself, i dont even mind if they dont give me the crab. HAHA :DDDDDDDDD
and not forgetting how we just dig into the durian birthday cake without slicing them into pieces like how decent and civilised people should do.
there's no free meal in the world, theres always a price to pay.
and im sorry to tell u that mother poon has to pay a price of TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SEVEN SING DOLLARS!
i need to faint.
i got a new black polo from Gap, courtesy of bay. :D
the day couldn't have been better.
